“Eggs & Issues” Legislative Forum hosted by the Carthage Chamber – Friday, February 17that 10:15 a.m. at the Grace Point Assembly of God Church at 1605 S. Banker Blvd. – Carthage.  This is a great opportunity to meet our state legislators and hear what is happening in Jefferson City.  Cost is $8 per person.  RSVP to Mary Jo at mjlittle@carthagechamber.com.

Undercliff Grill & Bar and Your Net Working will co-sponsor our next Business After Hours on Tuesday, February 21stfrom 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Undercliff Grill & Bar at 6385 Old Hwy. 71 – Joplin.  Come and enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages and enjoy a fun evening and network with your fellow Chamber Members!  RSVP by Tuesday, February 14th.  Make plans to attend!

Business & Industry Review

The 20th Annual Business & Industry Review is scheduled for March 16th & 17th at the Neosho High School Cafeteria.  Show hours are Friday – 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. (Business to Business) and Saturday – 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (Open to the public).  The theme is “Roaring 20’s” (Celebrating 20 Years of the Business & Industry Review).   Please incorporate this theme in your booth!  Booth colors are black and gold.

 

Health of our Local Business

Neosho’s City-Wide Garage Sale is scheduled for Saturday, April 14thThis year’s event will be held the second Saturday in April because the first weekend is Easter.This annual event draws large crowds of bargain hunters to Neosho, so whether you’re buying or selling, mark your calendars and be ready for a busy day!

 

Coffee with Carver

George Washington Carver National Monument invites you to attend Coffee with Carver on Thursday, February 16that 10:00 a.m. inside their visitor center.  February’s conversation is The Tie That Binds, a look at the influence of Mariah Watkins on young George Washington Carver’s Christian faith.  This program is free of charge.

“Pay the Day” Promotion at the YMCA

The Neosho Freeman Family YMCA is offering a pay the day joining fee special throughout the month of February.  Those interested in joining the Neosho Freeman Family Y will have the membership joiner fee adjusted according to the day they join.  For more information, call 455-9999.

 

Neosho R5 Schools Preschool and Kindergarten Screenings

Neosho R5 Schools Preschool and Kindergarten Screenings will be offered March through April 2012 at the PAT office at Field School located at 302 Smith Ave.  Eligibility requirements:  Preschool – child must be four years old before August 1st, 2012; Kindergarten – child must be five years old before August 1st, 2012.  Schedule your appointment by calling 451-8632 beginning February 1st.
